Wider learning
Below are some tasks linked to your Cornerstones topic, ‘Peasants, Princes and Pestilence’
|
Art | Extra Geography | Music |
Task | Make observational drawings in sketchbooks of plants, fruits, vegetables, leaves, flowers, seeds and bulbs, using coloured and soft writing pencils. Could you use cross hatching to draw these items? | Use maps, plans and aerial photographs of the school grounds to agree on the best place to plant fruit trees or bushes. Monitor the conditions in suggested sites to see how many hours sunlight they receive, the aspect, drainage, soil type and other important growing factors.
You could do this at home. Look at your own garden, places you see on your walk. |
Listen to ‘The Fresh Prince of Bel Air’
Try to learn the words and sing along.
What do you notice about the beat and rhythm? Could you come up with your own clapping pattern for the song?
If you’re feeling confident could you create your own dance to accompany the song? |
