South Stanley Junior School has a dedicated Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCO) whose job it is to:
- Ensure the needs of all SEND pupils and their families are met;
- To support staff in ensuring high quality teaching and support is available to meet the requirements of SEND pupils;
- To ensure timely referral to other agencies/professionals as and when the need arises.
Miss Taws is our Deputy Headteacher and SENCO. She has many years’ experience of working with pupils and their families at South Stanley Junior School and has extensive knowledge and understanding of SEND.
