School Performance

Ofsted

Ofsted is the Office for Standards in Education, Children’s Services and Skills. Ofsted regulate and inspect schools and colleges to seek improvement in the service. They carry out large number of inspections and regulatory visits in England and publish their finding on their website.

South Stanley Junior School’s most recent Ofsted inspection took place in February 2022 in which we were graded as Requires Improvement.  To view this and any previous Ofsted Reports please click here: SSJ Ofsted Report.

Department for Education Performance Tables

Many parents are keen to see how we are performing in relation to other schools.

The Department for Education (DfE) Performance Tables provide a reliable and accessible source of comparative information on pupil attainment and progress, absence, workforce and finance. The Performance Tables include percentages of achievement to Level 4 and Level 5 or above in reading, writing and maths and the percentage of expected progress in each subject.

You can find the School Performance Tables from the DfE by clicking here: School Performance Tables

To view SSJ’s Performance Tables click here: SSJ Performance Tables.

Exam and Assessment Results (including previous SAT results)

Every year we will publish our official exam and assessment results for Key Stage 2.

No assessments were undertaken in 2020 or 2021 due to Covid-19.  Please note, the results detailed below are not current results.

Childcare Provision

Primary Schools are now required to publish alongside their performance information a list of their childcare provision making it easier for parents to know what is available.

South Stanley Junior School offers a daily breakfast club from 8am.  Anyone wishing for their child to attend should contact our Main Office in the first instance to check availability as places must be booked in advance.

Whilst we also have a number of after school clubs but they are not a childcare provision.
