At South Stanley Junior School we have an active school council which consists of 2 children from each of our classes. On average they meet every half a term or when things in school need their opinions.
We help to bring the children’s thoughts and opinions from around the school to the attention of the teaching and management. Sometimes the staff ask us for our help and support in making important decisions that affect the daily life of our school.
Last year’s School Council ran some exciting projects including fundraising for the new school playground, judging the class reading corners and finding out the opinions of children in school using surveys they made themselves.
